Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tool Room Helper to support the daily operations of the tool room at our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for organizing, cleaning, and maintaining tools, ensuring the tool room is clean and well-stocked, and supporting maintenance mechanics with tool preparation and basic inventory tasks. This position plays a key role in helping streamline repairs and improve overall efficiency across the maintenance team.

This position is based out of our Monroe Township, NJ facility 5x a week.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

• Maintain a clean, orderly, & safe tool room environment by regularly organizing tools and equipment.
• Clean tools and equipment after use, ensuring proper storage and return to designated areas.
• Support the maintenance staff by preparing and distributing tools in a timely and accurate manner.
• Track tool usage, report missing or damaged tools promptly, and assist with routine inventory checks.
• Ensure all tools are in working condition; proactively report issues requiring repair or replacement.
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and shelving new tools or supplies to ensure consistent availability.
• Adhere to all company safety procedures and contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Build strong working relationships with the maintenance and operations teams to support smooth daily workflows.
• Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, & willingness to take initiative on tool room improvements.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Punctual, dependable, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or tool room setting is a plus.
