Job Description
  • Under Manager(s)/HOD, supervise and run a smooth and efficient training of Clinical Employees and administration of the education and training department.
  • Responsible for providing training to new and existing employees with proper record keeping and documentation and administrative support to educational program management, including office administration, inventory management.
  • Organizing educational administrative and management-related activities, record-keeping, invoicing, LIS support, and student affairs, multi-scalar coordination and collaboration within IHHN and with NUMS and others.

Training-Related Tasks:

1. New Employee Orientation: Conduct orientation for new hires of technical staff to ensure a smooth integration into the organization and familiarization with company policies, procedures, and culture.

2. Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions using a variety of methods, such as classroom tutorials, online lectures, and hands-on activities for the following:

  • New employees
  • Refresher sessions
  • Retraining
  • Annual training plan
  • New techniques and SOP
  • Software upgradation
  • Biosafety
  • IHHN nursing staff

3. Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for all the technical employees, including assessment and competency sheets, skill matrix, attendance, and completion status both electronically and in the employees' training record file. Also, submit the relevant records to HR.

4. Scheduling: Plan and coordinate training schedules in accordance with the skills matrix or upon request of each employee.

5. Initial Competency Assessment: Evaluate employee hands-on competencies for trained modules and forward satisfactory cases to QMD for final competency.

6. Inventory Management: Maintain and manage education and training-related inventory, including materials, reagents, equipment, and supplies, ensuring their availability and proper use.

7. Equipment Management: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and basic repairs of laboratory equipment to ensure their functionality and accuracy

8. Developing Training Resources: Develop and revise training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, cheat sheets, videos, and other resources, in coordination with technical managers to facilitate effective and engaging employee learning experiences.

9. Technical Task: Perform serology and processing bench twice a month to retain competency.

10. Accreditation: Assist the line manager in developing SOPs, policies, and any other department documentation.

11. Other administrative tasks: Preparing employee roster of the department. Also, demonstrate good documentation practices.

Education-Related Task:

1. Conduct engaging and comprehensive lectures and tutorials as lecturers of assigned ADBTM courses.

2. Conduct practical classes of ADBTM students as lab instructors by providing clear instructions to students on performing practicals, using equipment, and following SOPs and safety protocols.

3. Foster an interactive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical

thinking, and open discourse.

4. Evaluate and provide timely feedback on student work, helping them understand their strengths and areas for improvement.

5. Plan and conduct the final OSPE/0SCE of students.

6. Complete in-time checking of OSPE/OSCE of all the designated courses

Job Requirements

Qualification: BS-Medical Laboratory Sciences/Biosciences

Experience: Fresh - 2 years of experience in a relevant field
