Bachelors/ Masters in Chemistry

Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in Industrial chemical Analysis in Quality Control Laboratory of a large Industry, preferably Chemical Fertiliser or Petrochemical/ manufacturing unit.

Age: About 30 to 35 years, Male/Female candidate

Job Description: To work in COMPANY Quality Control Laboratory (QCL) as Chief Chemist

Reporting to the Head of QCL department.

To be able to perform all the analyses conducted in the laboratory and train the staff below and guide when they have doubts or difficulties.

Analyze the deviations from normal procedure/diagnose the problems in the analytical instruments/ deviation in the analysis results and reporting to SM-QC for corrective action.

Implement the SOPs guidelines, periodic review and update the QHSE documentation

Monitor the Daily Analysis Data as per Quality Plan and maintain the record of analysis results.

Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Calibration of Laboratory Instruments (Except Gas Chromatographs) as per the calibration plan and maintain the Calibration reports and update the related documents.

Analysis of composite Urea Product shipment Samples and issue draft and final Certificate of Quality.

Ensure the microbiological analysis of cooling water, fire water and potable water as per plan.

Conduct laboratory equipment and analytical instruments maintenance troubleshooting in association with Head of the Department.

Maintain inventory of the Lab chemicals and consumables and initiate purchase requisitions.

Manpower planning for day-to-day Lab operation including preparation of monthly shift schedule.

Ensure the uses of appropriate PPEs like Apron, Safety Goggles, and Gloves etc. in the Laboratory.

Conduct tool box talk

Organise external / third party analysis, as required.

Duty: 10 hours, 6 days a week

Salary: Based on experience from 600 to 1100 OMR (All Inclusive) – Based on experience
