Join our collaborative IT team as an IT Network Analyst, where you'll support and maintain a broad mix of server and networking infrastructure. This position is ideal for someone with a foundation in networking who is also comfortable working on Windows servers, virtualization platforms, and infrastructure services. On-site presence is required at our Wausau, WI location, and the role participates in an on-call rotation that may require on-site response.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
  • Perform server administration tasks including user and group management, Active Directory, and group policy support.
  • Support Microsoft server infrastructure and assist with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Nutanix
  • Assist with the configuration, monitoring, and support of network infrastructure, including switches, wireless systems, and basic routing.
  • Help monitor system and network performance, investigate alerts, and contribute to the resolution of infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the technical needs of Marathon County, the City of Wausau, North Central Health Care, and Law Enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and configurations in accordance with IT standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot routine to moderately complex infrastructure issues and assist with root cause analysis.
  • Assist team members with the modernization and support of legacy systems.
  • Support the deployment and administration of VMware and Nutanix platforms.
  • Participate in the administration and troubleshooting of digital video systems and management platforms.
  • Coordinate with vendors for technical support and warranty service when needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a strong commitment to public service.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members during project rollouts and system upgrades.
  • Assist with the development of standard operating procedures and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor backup systems (e.g., Veeam) and report any issues to senior infrastructure staff.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or related field Three to five years of progressively responsible network analyst experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities Possession of a valid Wisconsin driver’s license is desirable
Compensation:
Starting annual salary: $73,923 - $82,804
