Job Description

1. Introduction

The Project Associate will be responsible for managing and supporting the training programs of ministry focal persons on gender equality and child rights under the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), supervised by UNICEF. The role includes planning, designing, coordinating, implementing, and managing various events related to gender and child rights education and advocacy, ensuring successful delivery and quality outcomes.

2. Objectives of the Role

The Project Associate will be accountable for the following key objectives:

  • Support capacity building of focal persons in ministries on gender and child rights through tailored trainings.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects related to the planning, design, and execution of events.
  • Ensure smooth communication with stakeholders involved in the training process (e.g., participants, trainers, partners).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, ensuring alignment with project goals.

3. Key Responsibilities

A. Planning & Design

  • Collaborate with NCSW, UNICEF, and relevant stakeholders to define the scope and objectives of the training programs.
  • Assist in the development and review of training materials and modules focused on gender equality and child rights.
  • Help establish training schedules, selecting venues and locations in consultation with UNICEF and NCSW.
  • Prepare a work plan outlining key milestones and timelines for training events.

B. Event Coordination & Implementation

  • Oversee all logistical arrangements, including venue selection, travel, accommodation, and catering for events.
  • Manage invitations to training participants (ministry focal persons) and ensure timely follow-ups to confirm participation.
  • Organize the distribution of training materials, handouts, and other resources to participants prior to and during the event.
  • Facilitate the registration process for attendees and coordinate the sign-in on the event day.
  • Ensure smooth execution of each training event, troubleshooting any issues related to logistics, technology, or resources.
  • Support trainers and experts during sessions, managing both the administrative and technical aspects of the training process.

C. Monitoring & Follow-Up

  • Maintain regular follow-up communications with training participants before, during, and after events.
  • Assist in tracking attendance and compiling participant feedback to assess training quality.
  • Coordinate post-training evaluations to measure the impact of the training on participants' knowledge and skills.
  • Document training activities, lessons learned, and best practices for future reference.
  • Prepare and submit reports to UNICEF and NCSW on the progress and outcomes of the training initiatives.

D. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries related to training events.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication between UNICEF, NCSW, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage participant lists and track communication and follow-up efforts.
  • Assist in preparing communications materials such as newsletters, announcements, and event reports.

4. Qualifications & Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in social sciences / development/gender studies with a minimum of 3 years of public / private sector experience in project coordination and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate and manage training events and workshops preferably on gender equality and child rights.
  • Excellent command over English and Urdu is essential (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated skill of report writing Excellent computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office (MS) office, Excel and Power Point Presentation

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Rs100,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
