Role Summary:
The QA Analyst is responsible for embedding smart quality controls across the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process, ranging from appointment scheduling to Accounts Receivable (AR). This role transforms quality from reactive auditing into a proactive discipline through standardized audits, defined quality parameters, and governance frameworks. By leveraging audit insights and SOPs, the QA Analyst reduces operational errors, improves clean claim rates, and establishes a culture of continuous process excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
RCM Quality Audit & Control
- Conduct standardized quality audits across Pre-Claim, Claim, and Post-Claim processes.
- Embed proactive quality reviews rather than relying solely on reactive corrections.
- Analyze quality error trends to drive systemic improvements.
SOP Compliance & Quality Metrics
- Validate adherence to defined SOPs during quality reviews.
- Define and maintain measurable quality parameters and performance standards.
- Maintain QA logs and use audit findings to guide corrective action planning
QA Governance & Collaboration
- Coordinate with Billing, Credentialing, and QA leads to ensure quality compliance.
- Support process documentation and SOP writing from a quality enforcement perspective.
- Assist in identifying training needs based on recurring quality issues
Process Improvement & Feedback Loop
- Generate quality dashboards and periodic reports to inform leadership of trends.
- Participate in root cause analysis and quality huddles for continuous improvement.
- Work with Process Analysts and Managers to refine workflows and mitigate repeat errors.
Process Governance, Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain a centralized SOP register with periodic review cycles, owner accountability, and document approval workflows.
- Track SOP adherence and conduct periodic checks to ensure active compliance in day-to-day operations.
- Audit and escalate outdated or duplicated procedures for corrections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering
- TQM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified preferred
- Proficiency in diagramming tools (Lucid chart, Visio) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in a QA or Operations Analyst role (preferably in healthcare outsourcing, BPO or medical billing)
- Demonstrated success in developing SOPs, cross-functional workflow documentation, and policy standardization
- Knowledge of RCM workflows across Pre-Claim, Claim, and Post-Claim activities
- Experience conducting standardized audits and QA reviews in billing environments
- Strong command of QA templates, and audit log maintenance tools
- Familiarity with EHR/PMS systems and claim processing platforms
- Ability to define and track quality metrics and KPI
- Skills in SOP writing, gap analysis, and compliance mapping
