Main Objectives

Performs various electrical duties. Includes fault diagnosis, major/minor repair and rectification and overhaul work on the company’s fleet of special proposed aircraft ground support and handling equipment.

Main Duties

• Carries out various electrical duties, including normal electrical schedule servicing, defect diagnosis, dismantling, repair, and overhaul of major and minor assemblies to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of equipment and reducing downtime.
• Tests electrical systems to rated specifications and performs quality checks on all electrical systems within the company’s fleet vehicles and aircraft ground support equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
• Ensures full familiarity with and performs maintenance on standard vehicle D.C. electrical systems to guarantee reliable vehicle performance and reduce the risk of electrical failures.
• Proves rated capacity of motor/generator on an electrical test bench to ensure that all electrical components are functioning within their operational limits and meet performance expectations.
• Ensures speedy and serviceable return of the equipment to the user department by prioritizing repairs and minimizing downtime, contributing to operational efficiency and reducing the impact of equipment unavailability.
• Maintains good standard of health and safety by following regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, preventing workplace accidents and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Ensures that working area is clean and tidy during and upon completion of work to enhance operational efficiency and minimizes the risk of accidents.
• Participates in the training of lower graded electrician and apprentices, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and competencies
• Comply with Company's and airport authorities’ health, safety & security requirements.
• Carries out other similar or related duties as directed by the management.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

• Completion of (12 years) technical education, plus 3 years training Mechanicals Trades.

Experience:

• 4 years’ experience in a similar work field.

Other Essential Requirements:

• Fair knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge in using P.C.
