Why does the job exist?

The PPIB Analyst II will:
Assist Medicaid recipients and applicants by analyzing and researching Medicaid regulations at State and Federal level regarding case issues and/ or concerns;

Serve as primary point of contact for Client Medical Travel (CMT) requests for Fee for Service members by following established processes and regulations;

Assist with testing for Medicaid eligibility systems;

Assist with Special Projects and other duties as assigned.

How does it get done?

The PPIB Analyst II is responsible for:
Researching and resolving routine and complex Medicaid eligibility issues;

Serving as the primary point of contact for Client Medical Travel (CMT) requests for Fee for Service members by following established processes and regulations;

Partnering with other divisions, contractors and stakeholders to address Medicaid eligibility system changes and conducts testing in the Medicaid eligibility determination system (ASPEN) and the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS);

Addressing inquiries from the general public and stakeholders;

Completing assignments, reports, administrative duties and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification

Associate degree and two (2) years of experience in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.

Defensive driving certification.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage.
