Reporting Structure

This role will be in the People Services Department and the reporting line under Analyst People Services.

Karandaaz Pakistan (KRN) is a not-for-profit organization, based out of Islamabad, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. The entity has been seeded by Enterprise and Asset Growth Programme of UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and our digital finance initiatives are being funded by the Gates Foundation.

The Short-term Technical Assistant (STTA) People Services will support all HR-related functions of Karandaaz Pakistan and is expected to ensure utmost facilitation to the People Services Team in managing all stages of the employee lifecycle.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

• Provide support to the Sr. Analyst Talent Acquisition in executing the Annual Staffing Plan
• Assist with the recruitment process including job posting, application tracking, interview scheduling and candidate coordination
• Assist in the coordination of onboarding processes, including documentation, orientation logistics and new hire communications

Employee Engagement & Experience

• Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of employee engagement activities as outlined in the annual engagement calendar
• Support the team in gathering feedback and insights on engagement initiatives to help refine future activities
• Contribute to internal communication efforts around engagement, well-being, and culture-enhancing campaigns
• Participate in tracking progress against employee experience KPIs as part of broader Talent Strategy objectives

Learning & Development (L&D)

• Assist the team in implementing capacity-building initiatives
• Help manage the internal learning calendar
• Coordinate with external training partners and facilitators where needed

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or a related discipline from a recognized institution
• Prior informal/formal experience with the HR team of a notable organization will be given preference

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Foundational understanding of key HR functions
• Understanding of internal communication dynamics and the role of HR in shaping culture
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of Canva or similar tools for developing creative internal communication and employer branding content.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good planning and coordination skills with attention to detail
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and self-motivated with a drive to take initiative and contribute ideas
• Creative thinker with a people-first mindset
• Professional approach to confidentiality and stakeholder communication
