Diagnose and treat oral health issues in infants, children, and teenagers.
Perform routine dental examinations, cleanings, and fluoride treatments.
Manage dental injuries, caries, and other common pediatric conditions.
Educate children and parents on oral hygiene, diet, and preventative care.
Provide interceptive orthodontics and manage early orthodontic needs.
Use behavior management techniques to ensure a positive dental experience.
Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and infection control standards
Responsible for the proper practice of infection control guidelines in all clinical areas.
Keeps current with emergency techniques as they emerge and evolve.
Active participation and sustained qualification in all cardio-pulmonary resuscitation programs.
Attends staff meetings and weekly rounds and participates in in-service activities as required, i.e., Morbidity &
Mortality conferences, Peer Reviews, etc.
Performs additional duties as designated by the Head of the Department.
Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital
management to comply those requirements
Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk
assessments, incident reports
Comply with Waste management procedures and policies
Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems
D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an approved Dental School (American Dental Association approval or equivalent). 2 years
post-graduate study in orthodontics to be eligible for the American Board of Orthodontics certification.
Minimum of three (3) years practice in pediatric dentistry.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the
confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws,
Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH license to practice pediatric dentistry in Abu Dhabi,
UAE.
