We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with local and company standards. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to various accounting functions, from invoicing and reconciliations to financial reporting and project cost allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in accounting software.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments to creditors and collection from debtors.
• Manage and process payments to suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of outstanding invoices.
• Allocate revenue and costs according to project codes and cost centers for accurate financial tracking.
• Prepare bank application forms for guarantees, bonds, and similar financial instruments.
• Reconcile records with monthly bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain a detailed and accurate asset register by compiling information and ensuring proper allocation within the system.
• Provide regular reports on issued cheques and monitor their clearance status with the bank.
• Oversee and maintain petty cash, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and supported by proper documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly closings and financial statements in accordance with company guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and support internal/external audits.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the department head or company management.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. accounting, certified chartered accountant or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in 2 years auditing experience in an auditing firm.
• Must have knowledge of international trading operations
• Proficiency in accounting software- sage, MS Excel and Access.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
