To take overall control and responsibility of all lifting activities, ensuring lifting operations are properly planned, risk assessed, executed safely, and in compliance with ADNOC Offshore standards and statutory regulations. The Appointed Person will be accountable for both routine and non-routine lifting activities, including complex and complicated lifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all lifting operations on site as per ADNOC Offshore requirements.
• Prepare and approve Lifting Plans for Routine, Non-Routine, Complex, and Complicated lifting operations.
• Conduct and lead Toolbox Talks (TBT) and pre-lift meetings with riggers, crane operators, and lifting supervisors.
• Ensure lifting equipment and accessories are inspected and certified in accordance with ADNOC and international standards.
• Liaise with HSE, Project, and Marine departments to ensure safe lifting procedures are integrated into project execution plans.
• Assess site conditions and lifting risks, implement control measures, and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
• Provide technical input in the selection of cranes, lifting gear, and lifting methodologies.
• Coordinate and supervise tandem, multi-crane, and heavy lift operations offshore.
• Verify and monitor the competence and performance of riggers and lifting personnel.
• Ensure lifting operations are logged, monitored, and documented in accordance with ADNOC procedures.

Requirements:

• Mandatory ADNOC Offshore Approval as Appointed Person.
• Minimum 8 years of lifting experience in offshore oil & gas or marine construction environments.
• In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, load charts, lifting capacity, rigging, and slinging techniques.
• Experience in handling critical lifts, including tandem, blind, suspended, and lifting in confined or challenging marine conditions.
• Familiarity with LOLER, BS 7121, ADNOC CoP Lifting & Hoisting, and other international lifting standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, lifting studies, and method statements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
