JOB PURPOSE:
To support the implementation of the brand strategy to ensure the development and projection of the category(s), in order to improve Nadec’s brand image in all markets. This includes developing brand plans and budgets for different categories, monitoring its performance and supporting the Production, R&D, Marketing and Sales teams in identifying and developing new or modified products from brand management perspective.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic Contribution
· Execute the annual business plan and targets and comply with the strategic agenda of the Category to deliver Nadec vision and mission.
· Translate the strategy into operational business plans for the Merchandising and lead the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the Company’s strategy.
Leadership
- Direct the activities of the Marketing team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
- Build and lead a motivated, engaged, and competent team, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.
· Serve as a role model to ensure employees' awareness and commitment to NADEC vision, mission, values, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated team, and continuously improve performance.
Budgeting
· Participate in the preparation of the functional budget and assess financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized.
· Monitor and control the merchandising budget to ensure optimum utilization of resources in the region.
Core Accountabilities
· Category Management
- Supports the development of the vision, strategic direction and policy for Brand Management that will enable development of the category(s).
- Supports the Category manager in developing of the brand plans and budgets for different categories to differentiate the brand from other brands in the market to achieve the annual sales and gross margin targets in existing and new markets.
- Reviews internal data & external data to monitor the performance of the brand for different categories to track actual performance from production to track daily / monthly performance against the budget & plans and take corrective action.
- Works closely with Production, R&D, Marketing and Sales teams in identifying and developing new or modified products through brand studies to achieve the category sales and gross margin objectives to introduce new product to the market.
- Evaluates Market Research studies, market conditions and competitor products/activity and implement brand planning changes to ensure implementation of the plans.
- Supports the brand team to develop unique selling propositions and targeted marketing communications to increase brand awareness & overall equity.
· Incubation Category Management
- Supports the development of the vision, strategic direction and policy for Brand Management that will enable development of new product innovations and incubation category(s).
- Supports the Incubation manager in developing of the brand plans and budgets for different categories to differentiate the brand from other brands in the market to achieve the annual sales and gross margin targets in existing and new markets.
- Assists in writing innovation briefs and proposals, in addition to keeping track of the Incubation process.
- Supports the day- to- day interaction with the Incubates and other multi-functional teams.
- Ensures tight management of milestones and progress of new product launches.
- Conducts monthly market research and monitor market trends on a global and local scale, innovations and generates insights on potential opportunities for the business accordingly.
- Supports the Incubation manager in executing marketing campaigns both ATL and BTL.
- Supports the Incubation category’s projects with packaging development, strategies, insights and analysis to grow the brand’s presence in the market in order to achieve the product’s KPIs.

• Adheres with direction for the development and implementation of organizational unit’s policies, systems, processes, and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient and effective operation.
• Complies with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to all relevant regulatory directives to ensure a safe and risk-free environment.

Motivate the employees and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering best practices.
JOB CONTEXT
Assist Manager – Category. will be working from NADEC offices and might have to travel as and when needed.
Assist Manager – Category will function across the GCC markets and MENA Regions, must therefore be sensitive to the local consumer preferences and needs to gain accurate, timely and reliable information about the category market share to make changes in the brand image and exploit market opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Education and Certifications
· Bachelor’s Degree is required in Marketing or related field.
Experience:
3-4 years’ relevant experience in FMCG Brand Management & Development, Consumer Analysis, Marketing or Sales.
