Job Description

Job Title: BIM Modeler (Aluminum & Façade/Steel Structural)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the Aluminum & Façade or Steel Structural sectors and proficiency in Revit to create accurate and high-quality 3D models for various projects. As a BIM Modeler, you will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure all design and structural elements are accurately represented in the model and comply with the project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Modeling: Create and maintain accurate 3D BIM models using Revit for Aluminum & Façade or Steel Structural systems.
  • Design Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to ensure the BIM model aligns with design specifications and integrates with other disciplines.
  • Drawing Creation: Produce detailed construction drawings, including elevations, sections, and plans, directly from the Revit model.
  • Model Updates: Regularly update the BIM model throughout the project lifecycle to reflect design changes and revisions.
  • Clash Detection: Perform clash detection and resolve issues identified during coordination meetings to ensure seamless integration of various building systems.
  • Material Take-Offs: Generate material schedules and quantities from the BIM model to assist in cost estimation and procurement.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the model adheres to project standards, protocols, and guidelines, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the design.
  • Client Interaction: Assist in presenting the BIM model to clients, stakeholders, and contractors, ensuring effective communication of the design intent.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to junior BIM staff and assist in resolving BIM-related issues during the project.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in BIM modeling within the Aluminum & Façade or Steel Structural industries.
  • Revit Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Revit for modeling, drafting, and detailing of building systems, particularly aluminum, façade, and steel structural elements.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the design, fabrication, and installation processes in the Aluminum & Façade or Steel Structural sectors.
  • Software Skills: Experience with other BIM software tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, or Tekla Structures is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards, and industry best practices for aluminum, steel, and façade systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail in modeling and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: BIM-related certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional or equivalent.
  • Project Experience: Experience working on large-scale, complex projects involving aluminum and façade systems or steel structures.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
