Job Description

Camp Operations Management:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of camp operations for up to 1000 employees, ensuring seamless services in accommodation, catering, housekeeping, and transportation.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout the camp.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure the camp is adequately stocked with supplies and manage inventory control for all necessary items (e.g., food, linens, toiletries).

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a diverse team of camp staff including cleaners, kitchen staff, maintenance personnel, and security officers.
  • Provide clear instructions, assign tasks, and maintain a structured and disciplined workforce.
  • Organize and oversee the training and development of staff to ensure high service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Address staff grievances and ensure a harmonious work environment.

Employee Welfare:

  • Ensure that all employees are provided with proper living conditions, including clean and comfortable accommodation, nutritious meals, and recreational facilities.
  • Monitor the camp’s food service operations, ensuring that meals meet health and dietary standards.
  • Handle emergency situations and ensure that employees' well-being is prioritized at all times.

Health & Safety:

  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all local and company-specific health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety drills, including fire evacuation procedures, and enforce safety protocols for all camp residents.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and complaints, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Budgeting and Reporting:

  • Assist with the management of the camp's budget, tracking expenses for food, supplies, and other operational costs.
  • Prepare regular reports on camp activities, employee well-being, and any challenges faced, providing solutions and recommendations to the management.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Maintain open and effective communication channels between the camp, project management teams, and local authorities.
  • Coordinate the transport and logistics of workers from and to the camp as needed.
  • Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and documentation are up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Camp Boss or similar role in the UAE, ideally managing large-scale camps with a workforce of 1000 or more employees.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong Personality while dealing with the labors.
  • Timely and accurate reporting to management.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Hindi / Urdu (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of camp management systems and operations.
  • Good understanding of UAE labor laws, health, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Relevant certifications in health and safety or first aid would be an advantage.
