Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while honing your skills in construction management and cost control.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare detailed construction estimates and budgets using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.</li><li>Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications to determine material quantities and costs.</li><li>Negotiate contracts, pricing, and change orders with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms that align with project budgets.</li><li>Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, implementing cost control measures to prevent overruns.</li><li>Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure contractual compliance and effective communication.</li><li>Review and analyze construction contracts, ensuring all terms are understood and adhered to during project execution.</li><li>Support project management by providing timely financial reports, forecasts, and risk assessments to facilitate informed decision-making.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital document management and markup of drawings.</li><li>Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous pricing and contractual terms.</li><li>Experience with HeavyBid or similar construction estimating software for accurate cost projections.</li><li>Solid understanding of construction estimating processes, including quantity take-offs and bid preparation.</li><li>Hands-on construction site experience to better understand on-the-ground realities impacting costs.</li><li>Knowledge of construction management principles, including scheduling, resource allocation, and safety standards.</li><li>Familiarity with contracts, legal considerations, and project documentation requirements.</li><li>Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
