Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coal Power Project Engineer to lead the design, planning, and execution of a high-pressure coal-fired power plant project. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of the power plant and associated utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the engineering design, layout, and feasibility of the coal-fired boiler (e.g., 100 TPH high-pressure for power generation).
- Develop project execution plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with consultants, EPC contractors, vendors, and utility providers.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Review and approve technical drawings, equipment specifications, and P&IDs.
- Monitor construction progress, QA/QC protocols, and site safety standards.
- Evaluate system performance, fuel consumption, emissions, and optimization potential.
- Support commissioning, performance testing, and handover.
- Report project status, risks, and budgets to senior management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in thermal power projects (preferably coal-based).
- Proven experience in power plant design, boiler systems, and turbine technologies.
- Strong knowledge of steam cycle, process control, and environmental compliance.
- Familiarity with Thar coal or imported coal parameters is a plus.
