Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Demand & Supply Analyst is responsible for coming up with advanced analytics to drive improved purchase cycle planning and operational efficiency. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align demand planning with business objectives. This role focuses on data-driven decision-making to optimize supply chain operations, improve forecast accuracy, and support business growth. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Analytics: Dive into historical purchase data using time series analysis
  • and regression models to identify trends, seasonal patterns, and anomalies.
  • Your insights will be pivotal in forecasting future demand and shaping adaptive
  • purchasing strategies.
  • Build and maintain robust forecasting models that act as the cornerstone for inventory and procurement decisions, ensuring that they stay aligned with evolving market dynamics.
  • Work together with the sales team by merging qualitative insights (like customer feedback and emerging market trends) with quantitative data, leading to well-rounded strategic decisions that are both data-informed and human-centric.
  • Constantly contribute innovative ideas that refine these strategies, helping the business stay ahead of the curve and responsive to market shifts.
  • Manage daily operational tasks on need basis— updating sheets to maintain seamless communication and workflow.
  • Not only manage current processes but also drive the team to identify opportunities for operational enhancements, encouraging proactive problem solving and creative thinking.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, stock turnover, and forecast accuracy.
  • Use data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in supply chain planning systems.
  • Identify areas for improvement in forecasting and supply chain operations.
  • Support automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing new supply chain tools and best practices.

Skills required:

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerBI, and Python (Optional) for
  • time series analysis, regression modeling, and data visualization techniques.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, meeting coordination, and refining technical requirements.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong attention to detail in process management, ensuring production accuracy.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively collaborate with sales teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to integrate quantitative insights with market trends to support dynamic purchasing and inventory decisions.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data analytics, Supply Chain Management,
  • Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience & Certifications:
  • 2–4 years of experience as a demand planning analyst, data analyst, inventory
  • management or supply chain analytics plus point if worked in automotive sector
  • Strong experience with ERP systems, forecasting software, and data analysis tools.
