Guardian Industries is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Al Jubail plant in Saudi Arabia.
In this new role, we will lean on you to bring a project-focused mindset, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safe reliable operations through the design and execution of electrical strategies and projects to focused on managing risk, improving performance, and maintaining the reliability of electrical systems throughout the facility on both facility infrastructure and production assets.

The site boasts more than 250 employees and produces Float Glass, Vacuum coating Glass and Wet Coating glass.
What You Will Do
- Provide on-the-floor electrical engineering support to operations & maintenance to understand equipment performance, troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, and evaluate system capabilities.
- Actively participate in driving a safety culture where employees address unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviours and participate and make suggestions for improvements.
- Execute capital projects including upgrades to plant systems, process equipment, and scalable transformation priorities
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to develop and implement electrical process improvements and integrate new technologies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Execute projects that support continuous improvement, equipment obsolescence, and reliability improvements
- Develop and maintain documentation for electrical systems, including schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
- Identify the best available technology in the industry/manufacturing that could benefit our operations
- Build and share knowledge of available technologies with the operations team
- Utilize your electrical power and controls skills to support operations in a continuous process environment
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Proven practical experience within industrial environments.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and P&ID.
- Experience with PCS 7 PLC, WINCC Explorer, and TIA Portal
- Strong knowledge of Profibus and industrial network systems.
- Familiarity with VFDs from manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, and Danfoss, particularly in Profibus and Profinet communications
- Hands-on experience in continuous process automation plants
- Demonstrated experience in leading projects
- Competence in troubleshooting industrial equipment, such as conveyors and facility equipment like air compressors, cooling towers, R/O & DI plants, generators, motors, switchgears, and inter-locking systems in a PLC-controlled environment.
- Good level of communication in English.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Autocad, E-plan, and/or other cad packages.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Experience with power distribution, mechanical systems, and machine design.
