Guardian Glass, Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a Environmental , Health and Safety (EH&amp;S) Engineer to join the team. In this role you will be supporting the Continuous Manufacturing Group Operations located in Ras Al Khaimah UAE. The ideal candidate for this role will utilize your environmental, health and safety knowledge to assist in building programs that minimize EHS Risks and improve EHS culture inside the plant

What You Will Do<ul><li>
Develop knowledge, use and advance our Principled Based Management culture
</li><li>Build effective working relationships with the operational teams to develop EHS capability at the plant
</li><li>Foster an environment of collaboration and active participation with all employees, where employees understand and exercise their decision rights and raise ideas and improvements around EH&amp;S.
</li><li>Develop and align facility EH&amp;S programs and strategies according to the plant operational bets and projects.
</li><li>Ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety legislation and internal standards.
</li><li>Ensuring cost-effective implementation of strategic EH&amp;S-targets to ensure maximum safety for all employees and implementation of environmental projects
</li><li>Supporting internal and external EH&amp;S audits
</li><li>Leading the investigation and reporting of EH&amp;S incidents to develop systems and capability of employees to prevent further incidents.
</li><li>Coordinate with operations to ensure contractors adhere to our Safety Vision and follow EH&amp;S standards.
</li><li>Regular reporting, advising, and coaching of the plant leadership team on all EH&amp;S-relevant issues to ensure the company's competitiveness
</li><li>Develop, improve, and implement EH&amp;S training systems to meet plant needs</li></ul>
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Safety, Environmental, or related field
</li><li>0 - 2 years of EHS experience
</li><li>Communication skills in both language Arabic and English
</li><li>Communication, analysis and problem-solving skills
</li></ul>What Will Put You Ahead<ul><li>
Broad-based knowledge of Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety UAE regulations
</li><li>Ability to coach and influence others
</li><li>EHS relevant studies or certificates

 to join our team at the Al Jubail plant in Saudi Arabia.
 
 
 In this new role, we will lean on you to bring a project-focused mindset, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safe reliable operations and will help transform the plant by adding further automation, upgrading the facility, and implementing process and safety improvements.

 What You Will Do
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide on-the-floor Engineering support to operations &amp; maintenance to understand equipment performance, troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, and evaluate system capabilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Actively participate in driving a safety culture where employees address unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviours and participate and make suggestions for improvements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Execute capital projects including upgrades to plant systems, process equipment, and scalable transformation priorities
 </li>
 <li>
 Generate mechanical requirements and estimates for projects and equipment upgrades
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment such as conveying systems, automated stacking equipment, batching operations and combustion furnace operations
 </li>
 <li>
 Read, modify and create technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated models
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide training and technical support to Maintenance and Production Departments
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigate equipment failures and make recommendations for solutions to manufacturing processes
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven practical experience within industrial environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Solid understanding and experience working with equipment safety systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in reading and interpreting pneumatic and hydraulic schematic diagrams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting a variety of industrial equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, air compressors, fan alignment systems, mixers, chiller systems, cooling towers, reverse osmosis and deionization (R/O &amp; DI) plants, and generators.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience in continuous process automation plants
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated experience in leading projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Comprehensive knowledge of fluid systems, including air, cooling water, pure water, and related systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good level of communication in English.
 </li>
 </ul>

 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.

 Experience with AutoCAD and/or other CAD software packages

 Background in implementing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
 </li>

 Thorough understanding and application of NFPA codes and piping standards.
