Position Title: Electrical Technician
Reports to: AM/DM Admin
Department: Housing, Transport & Warehouse
Division/Function: Admin Division
Job Purpose
The Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of electrical systems in residential facilities. This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, assisting in troubleshooting, and supporting ongoing electrical projects, while maintaining compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical
- 5–6 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance
Basic Skills Required
- Proficiency in building wiring and fault troubleshooting
- Understanding of LV & MV systems, protection schemes, and hardware
- Familiarity with field devices, test/calibration equipment (e.g., Megger)
- Ability to read and interpret MV, LV, and emergency system SLDs
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Maintenance and Operations
- Perform timely maintenance and repair of electrical systems in housing and outdoor areas
- Maintain logbooks, job sheets, and communicate abnormalities to supervisors
- Implement LOTOTO (Lock Out Tag Out Try Out) procedures during maintenance
- Support ongoing and upcoming electrical projects as required
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Toolbox Talks (TBTs) before starting work
- Follow safety protocols, report injuries or illnesses promptly, and participate in emergency drills
- Perform safety audits every six months and maintain compliance records
- Maintain cleanliness and order during and after job execution
Technical Execution
- Follow supervisor’s instructions and provided repair procedures
- Inspect and tag materials/equipment properly and ensure safe handling
- Notify supervisor before issuing or replacing high-value parts
- Participate in HSE risk assessments and report ergonomic discomforts
Collaboration and Coordination
- Liaise with other site interfaces during execution of jobs
- Consult with the site medical team for return-to-work fitness assessments
- Maintain readiness for emergency situations including outages and equipment failures
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Follow the emergency response plan role statement
- Actively engage in occupational health communication
- Be aware of and practice HSE risk assessment techniques
- Report any safety equipment concerns to the supervisor
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: PKR 90,000 – 120,000 per month (based on experience)
