Job Description
- Support managers in the preparation and implementation of environmental practices both on-site and within the office environment;
- Working closely with stakeholders to ensure that environmental procedures and policies are being applied on a Programme and Project level;
- Conduct site Auditing;
- Conduct background studies, prepare or review Environmental Impact Assessment reports;
- Review of construction environmental management plans;
- Provide technical support to the Management and act independently as may be required under certain circumstances;
- Work within the department to identify concerns, areas for improvement, and then act to streamline processes;
- Monitor policies and procedures and report any areas where improvement is required;
- Ensure Programme and Project-wide compliance with environment legislation;
- Liaise with the Ministry of Environment and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Criteria Mandatory Requirements
- University degree from a recognized University in Science / Engineering or equivalent;
- A Minimum of seven (7) overall years of experience in Environmental Management and Sustainability practices in construction projects on projects with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Managing Environmental and sustainability requirements that include the implementation of CEMP and environmental permitting requirements.
- preferably with Level 6 (NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or IEMA Certificate in
- Environmental Management) plus ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor Training
- Evidence of a suitable professional qualification or equivalent is preferable.
- Experience of working in Qatar and/or the Gulf region
