<div><ul><li>BSc in Quantity Surveyor / other discipline of engineering. MMUP Licensed (Grade -A)
</li><li>15 - 20 years of relevant experience in contract preparation, Settlements of disputes and providing advice on such issue.
</li><li>Should have experience in PWA building supervision projects.
</li><li>Strong background in quantity surveying, construction or engineering.
</li><li>Ability to understand engineering plans and drawing.
</li><li>Develop cost plans, cost strategies, value engineering, life cycle costing, and sustainability costing.
</li><li>Prepare and review cost/budget estimation using respective software.
</li><li>Ensure Compliance with quality management standards and health and safety regulations.
</li><li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
</li><li>Candidate must be in Qatar</li></ul></div>

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

<ul><li>Lead commercial role for the delivery of a Project(s).</li><li>Responsible for the coordination of quantity surveying for the preparation/review of bills of quantities, rate analysis, and other commercial activities for the projects.</li><li>Responsible for checking and certification of payments to the contractors and consultants.</li><li>Provide Quantity Surveying support related to the Project(s).</li><li>Draft or review any correspondence letters as required; and</li><li>Attend all project meetings as required.</li><li>Responsible for the preparation/review of Bills of Quantities.</li><li>Ensure contract document processing procedures are completed on time.</li><li>Responsible for reviewing and processing payments to contractors and consultants, variations and claims, and extensions of time.</li><li>To continually seek and capture lessons learned from the cost, financial, and procurement processes and use this intelligence to alter the process, tools, and systems in order to improve the approach to delivering the projects.</li><li>Liaise with the Contracts Department of the Client and provide progress reports to the Senior Commercial Manager, as required.</li><li>Track, manage, and ensure commercial actions are completed in a timely manner.</li><li>Provide recommendations in processing requests for variation, addendum, extension of time, claims, etc. in accordance with Authority policies and procedures.</li><li>Administer the Supervision Consultant contract.</li><li>To engage claims specialists where required.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Criteria<ul><li>University degree from a recognized university in an appropriate field such as Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or equivalent; Master&rsquo;s degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.</li><li>Professionally qualified in MRICS or equivalent is preferable.</li><li>Minimum 15 years of post-graduate experience, and 7 years minimum in the same role/ experience.</li><li>Experience in Building Projects.</li><li>Contracts Management experience, including resolution of contractual matters.</li><li>Experience in Contract types including: FIDIC and Government forms.</li><li>Experience of working with Design-Bid-Build, Design and Build, and Supervision Consultants Contracts in particular, or a working knowledge of the same.</li><li>Computer knowledge related to the quantity surveying field.</li><li>Ability to manage and administer pre- and/or post-contract requirements.</li><li>Experience in procurement management and tendering procedures.</li><li>Management of multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>UPDA/MME is mandatory.
