Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Estimator – Aluminum & Façade to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the tendering process for projects involving curtain walls, cladding, glazing systems, doors, and windows. This role is crucial to ensuring competitive and technically compliant project proposals in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drawing Analysis: Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to extract quantities and scope for aluminum and façade systems.
• BOQ & RFQ Preparation: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) based on project specifications.
• Cost Breakdown: Develop itemized cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Quotation Evaluation: Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, ensuring both technical and commercial accuracy.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering without compromising design integrity.
• Tender Support: Contribute to pricing strategies, bid compilation, and tender submissions in collaboration with the commercial team.
• Client Interaction: Attend pre- and post-tender meetings, assist with clarifications, and participate in commercial negotiations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with design, engineering, and project management teams to align estimates with project feasibility.
• Change Management: Evaluate the impact of design revisions on project cost and scope.
• Database Management: Maintain and update a reliable cost database, supplier list, and pricing records for future reference.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on estimation experience in aluminum and façade systems, preferably within the Qatar or GCC construction market.
• Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation tools such as Candy, Bluebeam, or equivalent.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of façade systems including unitized curtain walls, aluminum cladding, windows, doors, and glazing.
• Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to cost control and risk mitigation.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Qatar construction standards, pricing norms, and material availability is highly desirable.
