Finance Manager

About the Role

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in the organization's financial health and strategic growth. Reporting to the CFO, this position is responsible for overseeing financial operations, developing financial strategies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Analysis

• Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
• Provide actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making
• Create and present financial reports to executive leadership and stakeholders

Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals including accountants, analysts, and payroll specialists
• Establish clear performance objectives and conduct regular evaluations
• Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes growth and development

Operational Excellence

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial operations

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements
• Coordinate external audits and implement audit recommendations
• Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
• Stay current with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards

Strategic Planning

• Partner with leadership to develop short and long-term financial strategies
• Lead financial planning and analysis to support business growth initiatives
• Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate development activities

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a management role
• Experience in the [industry] industry preferred

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Expert-level Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
