As a Finance Manager working part-time, three days a week, your position will encompass all financial duties including handling and/or supervising banking, invoicing & debt collection, bookkeeping, GST compliance, preparation & timely submission of accurate management accounts and financial statements in accordance with IFRS, annual audit, tax returns, budgets, cash flow forecast.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management & Reporting: Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and other financial plans to guide business strategy.
  • Cost Management & Performance Review: Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve business performance.
  • External Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with auditors, bankers, and tax advisors.
  • Compliance & Legislation: Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and legislation, ensuring the company’s adherence to all legal requirements.
  • Banking & Payments: Manage bank payments and monitor receivable balances.
  • Bookkeeping & Audit Support: Handle all bookkeeping tasks, prepare monthly/quarterly reports, and support the annual audit process.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in tax return submissions and stay up-to-date on relevant tax developments through liaising with external advisors.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Professional Accounting Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with industry stakeholders - full English business proficiency is required.
  • In-depth understanding of finance processes and balance sheet controls.
  • Highly numeric, with strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge to guide decision-making.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective management and delegation skills to guide your team and allocate resources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong relationships across the business.
  • Investigative and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify issues and provide strategic solutions.
