Job Title: General Manager – Facility Management

Job Purpose:
To lead, transform, and manage the Facility Management division by developing a high-performing, scalable operation that supports the company’s long-term growth. The General Manager will be responsible for the P&L ownership , strategic planning, operational excellence, and ensuring the business remains competitive in Qatar's dynamic market. The role requires hands-on leadership with the ability to drive efficiency, improve client satisfaction, and align FM operations with corporate objectives under the direction of the Reporting Manager .
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Define and execute a comprehensive FM business strategy in alignment with the Group’s vision and long-term objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and lead the expansion of FM services within Qatar and the GCC.
- Foster innovation and operational excellence through digital transformation and the adoption of smart building technologies.
- Represent the FM division in strategic discussions with the Board.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of hard and soft FM services (MEP, HVAC, fire systems, cleaning, security, landscaping, pest control, etc.).
- Ensure service delivery excellence across all contracts (commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and public sector).
- Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs across operations to ensure continuous improvement and high service standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Qatari laws, QCDD regulations, HSE policies , and international FM standards.
Financial Management & P&L Accountability
- Own the full P&L responsibility of the FM business unit, driving profitability and cost efficiency.
- Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, resource planning, and monthly financial reviews with the finance team.
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve gross margins while maintaining service quality.
Organizational Growth & People Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team and workforce of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure the company attracts, develops, and retains top FM talent, supported by robust training and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork, and client focus.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Act as the escalation point for client concerns and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Lead negotiations on major contracts and support business development in securing new projects.
Compliance, Risk & Quality Control
- Implement strong governance, risk management, and internal controls in all FM operations.
- Lead QHSE initiatives to achieve zero harm and full legal and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure certifications (e.g., ISO, OHSAS) are maintained and leveraged to drive quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (Master’s degree / MBA preferred).
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Facilities Management, with at least 10 years in a senior executive role , preferably within the GCC.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale FM operations and P&L responsibility.
- Experience leading transformation initiatives and implementing strategic operational improvements.
- Strong knowledge of Qatar’s compliance frameworks including QCDD, Civil Defense, and municipal regulations.
