Kimpton Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – New Hotel Opening

We're seeking an outstanding leader to oversee the pre-opening and opening phases of our first Kimpton hotel in the Middle East, launching in Riyadh in Q1 2025. This milestone project is a cornerstone of our Luxury and Lifestyle portfolio, featuring 208 rooms, 4 F&B outlets, and 3 meeting rooms, strategically located in Riyadh's vibrant King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). As the first Luxury and Lifestyle establishment in the IMEA region, this venture signifies our commitment to excellence and innovation, aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. Joining us as the General Manager offers a unique chance to pioneer luxury lifestyle experiences in this dynamic city, while contributing to the transformative vision of KSA's future economy.

We're in search of a seasoned Luxury Lifestyle Hotel General Manager with a proven track record of successfully opening and leading luxury hotels autonomously. Your background in cutting-edge Food & Beverage operations will be pivotal in enhancing guest experiences. Taking full charge of hotel operations, maximising financial performance, nurturing talent, and fostering a culture of exceptional service will be your primary responsibilities.

You will need proven expertise in how you deliver a true luxury and lifestyle guest experience alongside knowing how to position the brand in the market. You will drive and seek out opportunities to improve commercial performance and owner returns.

You will be a natural people leader, able to build trusting relationships that encourages and motivates your workforce. You will develop a culture of innovation within your team and be commercially focussed, with a futuristic vision.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Leading the pre-opening activities of the hotel in the run up to the official opening of the hotel.
  • Lead and develop a business plan to drive owner returns.
  • Recruiting, leading, managing and motivating a strong team, upskilling, recruiting, measuring and managing performance.
  • Reviews and implements strategic initiatives to drive commercial performance across the Hotel and its facilities.
  • Prioritises relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers and local communities.

What we’d like from you:

  • Substantial luxury lifestyle hotel experience as a General Manager, ideally in city environments
  • Pre-opening experience is essential
  • Genuine team development, guest, and owner focus
  • Strong owner relationship management
  • Background in Food & Beverage would be desirable
  • Experience of GCC market is highly advantageous
