Job Overview:
The Inventory & Warehouse Architect will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and structuring large-scale military spare parts warehouses for military vehicle maintenance and logistics operations . The role requires expertise in 3D warehouse design , inventory flow optimization , and integration of modern RFID and barcode-based inventory tracking solutions . The candidate must have a strong background in warehouse architecture, logistics engineering, and automation planning , ensuring efficiency, compliance, and security in warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse & Inventory Design
- Develop detailed 2D & 3D layouts of military spare parts warehouses using AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, or similar software .
- Plan and optimize warehouse space allocation , shelving, racking, and bin placement for maximum efficiency .
- Design high-density storage solutions that incorporate RFID, barcode scanning, and automated inventory tracking .
- Ensure compliance with military standards, OSHA, ANSI, and ISO for warehouse structure and safety.
2. Logistics & Inventory Optimization
- Analyze and improve inventory flow, stock rotation, and order fulfillment processes .
- Define bin location strategies for multi-warehouse inventory management across Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah.
- Collaborate with RFID & ILS system engineers to integrate automated inventory tracking and warehouse management systems (WMS) .
3. Project Execution & Implementation
- Lead the setup and reorganization of military spare parts warehouses across multiple locations.
- Work closely with construction teams, logistics planners, and procurement officers to ensure the warehouse design aligns with operational needs .
- Conduct on-site inspections and propose structural and operational improvements .
4. Technical Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with fire safety, emergency exits, and security protocols in warehouse infrastructure.
- Document warehouse blueprints, inventory structures, and workflow diagrams for reference and training.
5. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with military logistics officers, warehouse managers, and inventory teams to implement best practices.
- Prepare and present reports on warehouse efficiency, design updates, and infrastructure improvements to leadership.
- Conduct training sessions for warehouse personnel on new layouts, inventory tracking systems, and best practices .
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse design, logistics planning, or inventory management architecture .
- Expert in 3D modeling & design using AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, or similar software (MANDATORY).
- Proven experience in designing large-scale warehouses (2000m² or more) for military, logistics, or industrial storage .
- Strong understanding of RFID, barcode scanning, and automated inventory tracking technologies .
- Experience in multi-warehouse inventory planning and storage optimization .
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, ISO warehouse safety & logistics regulations .
- Ability to travel to Dammam & Jeddah for official warehouse site visits & project execution .
Preferred Qualifications (Highly Desirable):
- Experience in military spare parts logistics & warehouse planning .
- Knowledge of SAP WM, Oracle WMS, or other advanced Warehouse Management Systems .
- Project management certification (PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Logistics).
- Understanding of ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) for defense operations .
