Role Summary:
The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the IT infrastructure and systems within the organization. This role includes troubleshooting, managing network security, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical support to employees. The IT Officer will work closely with other departments to ensure efficient IT operations and support organizational growth through technology.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Software Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain company software applications.
- Troubleshoot software issues and ensure proper updates and licensing.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system backups.
2. Hardware Management:
- Oversee the procurement, setup, and maintenance of company hardware, including computers, mobile devices, and other equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain hardware inventory and manage warranties and replacements.
3. Networking:
- Design, implement, and manage the company’s network infrastructure.
- Ensure secure and efficient operation of internal networks, VPNs, firewalls, and internet connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network issues and optimize performance.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures.
4. Technical Support:
- Provide timely and efficient IT support to employees, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
- Assist with IT training for staff members to improve proficiency in using IT resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support or related role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, and software management.
- Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and enterprise software.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and data protection policies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- **Preferred Experience:**
- Experience with Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with Linux systems.
- Experience in software companies.
