Role Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer (Laboratory Business) to join our team in Kuwait.


Contract: Permanent

Location: Kuwait (On Site)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Revenue Generation: To generate revenue through maximizing sales and service business, promote principals’ products with consultants, end users and EPC contractors with a view to meeting and exceeding set sales budgets Job Holder will manage products and services, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
  • Business Development: Identify new niche areas of business and target agencies in order to broaden scope in Lab related businesses in various industries such as O&G, Water, Wastewater & Power sector, Petrochemical, Institutes / universities, Research Institutes etc. Source new clients; maintain excellent business relationships with current pool of clients; develop strategic moves in expanding the current business profiles using traditional and creative methods; establish marketing/sales campaigns in order to identify new leads; cultivate and nurture prospects in order to drive business growth to meet and exceed budgeted targets.
  • Marketing activities: Plan and carry out marketing activities like principal visits, presentations, exhibitions etc. with a view to promoting the principal’s products.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on market and competitor activities, developments in the market. Create, maintain appropriate sales reports in agreed format which will facilitate measurement of sales performance.
  • Project Tracking: Track opportunities in projects from concept to commissioning, the specifications during design stage are in line with our principals’ products and keep principals informed of developments so that they are better placed when the job comes out for bidding.
  • Contract Management: Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations according to the requirements of companies and government bodies with a view to ensuring the company is not exposed to liabilities and profit margins are maintained.
  • Debt Control: Monitoring debt collections with the purpose of maintaining low average debtors and credit periods within ISS guidelines and checking the increase of sale revenues and eventual increase of credit allowance to good customers and planning strategic action related to bad debts to minimize and alleviate risk of loss.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain awareness of the progress of the industry within Kuwait and communicate with Commercial and Sales team locally for the purpose that the company continues to apply the most operational policies and procedures. This includes monitoring the competitor’s activity and ensuring that apt responses are carried out for the purpose of developing counteractions of any perceived threats to business. Market awareness also involves analyzing trends in a business environment, helping to develop products/services that are responsive to the market demands and identify new market opportunities.

Who You Are:


  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or in Science with Chemistry as major
  • 3 to 5 years of local Kuwait experience in a business environment that involves EPC or Trading services, preferably in Lab Business for Lab Analyzers & Lab Chemicals in various industrial sectors in Kuwait - Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemicals, Water and Desalination Industry, Wastewater, Universities, Various Institutes, KISR , Private Labs etc.
  • Must have a proven track record in sales in these areas including generating budgeted revenue, principal management & customer service
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (word, excel, outlook, power point, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and professional, in written and oral form.
  • Be able to work independently with analytical thinking and be able to manage work processes.
  • Should be self-motivated, very well organized with self-learning ability.
  • Pro-active, self-driven, multi-tasker with team spirit.
  • Kuwait driving license is a must & KSE Membership is an advantage
