The Lead Functional Analyst - Business Intelligence will work within the CRM IT Team and reports to the Director of CRM. This Position is responsible for managing the development and implementation of CRM IT data projects, strategies, guidelines and recommendations. The candidate is also responsible for maintaining the quality, completeness, and availability of data within the data warehouse, CRM Systems, managing complex UAT testing plans, day to day operations of the Data Warehouse load processes as well as identifying and recommending process improvement opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:
- This function requires a mix of IT, business, cross-functional management, database, testing and analytical skills to manage processes and strategies related to CRM. Responsible for working with the different teams to understand the business requirements for CRM and data warehouse data processes.
- Analyze, scope, architect, support development, support testing, and deliver integrated, scalable CRM solutions aligned with high-level corporate objectives while working within the constraints of legacy systems and quickly changing business processes
- Interfaces with various internal & external business partners to manage supporting vendor processes. Partner with key stakeholders across multiple functional areas to understand business needs and requirements, identify issues and risks, suggest mitigation strategies, recommend best practice solutions, build consensus, obtain buy in/sign off and communicate regular status updates
- Supports Data Insight and Analytics; Collaborate with leadership team, cross functional and vendor partners to ensure systemic optimization for data hygiene, analytics, segmentation and customer insight and understanding. Provides support and insight to guide decision making and planning by leveraging and interpreting data and analytical models.
- Ensuring the successful delivery of daily updates to the CRM Systems and data warehouse while maintaining critical SLA agreements and contractual obligations for processing the data.
- Provides recommendations for maintaining/improving existing data warehouse processes and for implementing enhancements and must be able to communicate complex ideas and strategies across multiple levels of the organization while fostering collaborating, innovation and accountability.
- Provides testing expertise, defines testing strategies, develops test plans, defines and implements test scripts, manages user acceptance testing, performs data validations/audits and makes recommendations for the approval/implementation of data warehouse production processes. Retrieves data from various sources and prepares data for analysis, verifies data accuracy, performs internal audits, validate audit steps, evaluates data quality.
- Manage the design, development and maintenance of CRM database, loyalty system and campaign management tools
- Partner with Marketing business team and IT team to plan, coordinate and integrate data model changes within CRM landscape in order to meet business requirements
- Conduct technical reviews and walkthroughs of system design documentation with IT management and CRM developers. Develop and regulate best practices and standards for enterprise data integration with CRM database.
- Ensure all aspects of data model are clearly documented for both business and technical and necessary documentation requirements are embedded in change processes. Identify appropriate data sources and effectively architect and develop solutions that will meet business requirements. Establish and apply data design development standards and governance guidelines
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related course of study required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience
- Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data
- Analyze large data sets to identify trends, draw insights, and develop recommendations
- Strong highly proficient with database concepts, relational modeling and analytics. Extensive knowledge of data architecture, database design, data model and data warehouse design considerations
- Solid command of database concepts and exceptional SQL and PL/SQL skills (SQL, Functions, Procedures, Packages, Triggers)
- Knowledge of analytics tools & techniques to perform analysis and interpret data – some examples are: SQL, Store Procedures, Packages, SAS, Python, Scala, Pyspark, R, etc
- Experienced in Cloud based CRM platform. AWS Ecosystem platform with Redshift, Glue, Step Function, Lambda experience is preferable.
- Practicing application development, retail, marketing, merchandising, decision support systems or business intelligence
- Ability to interface with business users and data architects in order to translate user requirements into data requirements is a must.
- Experience in data warehousing, data modeling and a CRM application is strongly preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus
- Experience with Redshift, Netezza and DB2 is a plus
- Experience with BI Tools like Cognos, Tableau is a plus
