Role Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Executive to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and providing sound legal advice to support the business’s operations. This role requires a solid legal background, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to:
- Facility Management Contracts
- Maintenance and Service Agreements
- Supplier Agreements
- Contract Amendments
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Consultancy and Contractor Agreements
- IT and SaaS (Software as a Service) Contracts
- Prepare and issue legal notices, including breach notices, demand letters, and termination notices.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risk exposure, and compliance.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure contracts align with company policies and risk frameworks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal templates and standard operating procedures.
- Support dispute resolution processes and liaise with external legal counsel as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
- 4 – 6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the retail or FMCG sector.
- Strong expertise in contract law with proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic , particularly for contract drafting, is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience in an in-house legal role.
- Familiarity with local laws and regulatory requirements in the GCC region (if applicable).
