Job Description
At Inbox Business Technologies, we are currently looking for a skilled Linux Administrator to join our team. As a Linux Admin, you will be responsible for managing the Linux/Unix operating systems and ensuring their stability, security, and performance. You will work closely with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise and implement best practices for system administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Installation & configuration of various UNIX, and Linux operating systems
  • Responsible for Installation & configuration of VERITAS on various UNIX, and Linux operating systems
  • Responsible for Upgrading UNIX, Linux & VERITAS software, and related hardware's firmware/Bios
  • Responsible for UNIX, Linux & VERITAS Softwares patch management
  • Responsible for Implementation & maintenance of high availability products/solutions for all ultra-critical UNIX & Linux environments
  • Responsible for Data migration/transferring by using various tools/techniques & utilities for various UNIX, Linux & VERITAS environments
  • Responsible for implementation, enforcement, and reporting of security for all UNIX & Linux environments
  • Responsible for Migration strategies for UNIX, and Linux environments when and where required
  • Responsible for Auditing of UNIX & Linux environments using manual scripts, OS built-in feature sets & other available tools
  • Responsible for SR creation, follow-up & escalation for all the open cases/incidents for UNIX, Linux & VERITAS's environments with local partners technical teams & with their respective principal backend support teams (where required)
  • Responsible for all UNIX, Linux environments (including virtual machines) consolidation when and where required
  • Responsible for making sure that complete inventory management life cycle is followed for all UNIX, Linux environments for all Sofware, hardware layer changes


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Linux/Unix system administrator
  • Proficiency in Linux and Unix operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of system security and best practices
  • Experience with system monitoring tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., LPIC, RHCSA) are a plus
