Job Description:

As the Manager of Accounts & Finance, you will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all financial processes. This role involves managing daily transactions, vendor payments, payroll, tax compliance, and generating financial reports. You will play a strategic role in maintaining financial stability and work closely with senior management to optimize financial practices and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations Management:

  • Oversee accurate recording of daily transactions (expenses, sales, deposits).
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and transactions for accurate financial data.
  • Process credit card expenses and supplier invoices to meet financial obligations.

Payroll & Compensation Management:

  • Supervise payroll preparation and review for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate quarterly payroll reports and employee compensation submissions.
  • Manage employee advances, loans, and salary adjustments.

Tax Compliance & Filing:

  • Oversee sales tax return preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with state/federal laws.
  • Collaborate with tax consultants for VAT and income tax filings.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and present monthly P&L reports with insights into financial performance.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure alignment with financial forecasts and goals.

Compliance & Reconciliation:

  • Perform comprehensive account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Oversee vendor/supplier reconciliations for consistency with financial records.

System Optimization & Process Improvement:

  • Optimize financial systems, software tools, and reporting processes.
  • Implement controls and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop customized financial management systems to improve workflow.

Team Management & Development:

  • Train and mentor junior staff in financial operations, software, and compliance.
  • Lead day-to-day financial tasks and projects, fostering team growth.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning within the finance team.

Strategic Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Provide financial insights to senior leadership for strategic planning.
  • Align financial operations with business objectives in collaboration with department heads.
  • Support special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.

Vendor & Asset Management:

  • Oversee timely vendor payments and manage financial obligations.
  • Maintain asset management systems for accurate tracking and reporting.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead annual budgeting process with detailed forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align budgets with company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance.
  • In-depth knowledge of USA accounting laws and taxation (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and financial management tools.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws, payroll regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in staff management and process optimization.
