Job Description
Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.
Your Impact
As the Manager of Finance within the Middle East Office (MEO) Controllership team, you will oversee and manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly activities, including analyses, reports, account reconciliations, accounting policy compliance, and preparation of financial statements.
You will execute and manage integration activities and accounting operations across different entities.
Additionally, you will coordinate internal audits, assist with external audit requests, and handle ad-hoc analyses and special projects initiated by the Office Finance Director and the Controllership team. Your expertise in researching technical accounting matters will aid in the continuous improvement of both office and firm accounting policies.
Incorporating design thinking and a mindset of continuous improvement, you will drive change in finance processes and operations by leading selected projects and initiatives. As a thought partner, you will present analyses and reports to office and function leadership to actively influence decision-making. Ensuring compliance with firm policies and statutory guidelines and laws will be a key responsibility, in collaboration with the Finance Transformation team and the Global Finance Operations team to simplify end-to-end workflows and processes.
In tandem with the Treasury team, you will manage cash flow, optimize liquidity, and ensure efficient capital allocation. Supporting the Office Finance Director and Business Partner, you will engage in economic performance management and planning topics, such as operating expenses. Your role will involve safeguarding the office and firm through evolving control measures and working with the Local Pricing Committee on client investment decisions, tracking, and reporting on return on investment and return on Investment Development Paths.
Your contributions will extend to providing financial insights and support across cross-functional teams to drive strategic and operational improvements. You will support junior colleagues in developing strategies that ensure financial and client service information is accurately generated and communicated. Overseeing the recruitment, development, coaching, and structuring of the team will be essential. You will mentor and evaluate direct reports and junior colleagues, and lead projects to advance finance professional development.
You’ll be based in one of the Middle East locations and report into the MEO Director of Finance. You will provide overall on-the-ground leadership for Finance team members located in the office, leading a team of (Senior) Analysts and Specialists.
