Job Description
  • Oversee the creation and execution of the marketing strategy.
  • Manage all media relations with support from the Assistant Marketing Manager.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external clients communicating with the department, attending meetings, and controlling processes as appropriate.
  • Serve as the main liaison between leadership and the Marcom team, assigning projects and overseeing completion.
  • Oversee department operations as HOD, ensuring the execution of the Marketing & Communications Plan (Monthly/Yearly) based on the monthly Marketing Plan review session.
  • Seek new marketing opportunities through collaborations and partnerships with other business entities.
  • Support the generation of new ideas and strategies to market applicable business units.
  • Act as the first stage of approval in the ‘art working process,’ ensuring all artworks required for Marcom operations are produced efficiently and accurately.
  • Oversee internal and external guest interactions by the department, ensuring all received and distributed requests are properly executed while adhering to ‘Marcom SOPs.’
  • Supervise onboarding and training of new hires and interns, ensuring effective training and remediation as needed.
  • Maintain full knowledge of hotel facilities, features, and monthly promotions.
  • Ensure that the ‘listings process’ is followed at all times for proper recording and distribution of information within the department.
  • Communicate proactively with key stakeholders (General Managers, Property Sales Leaders, Directors of Finance and Accounting), ensuring all necessary department reports are prepared and presented during the Marketing Meeting.
  • Stay informed on the latest marketing and communications trends and incorporate relevant trends into the Marcom strategy.
  • Promote brand awareness internally and externally.
  • Develop marketing materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials, maps) for events, property tours, and conferences.
  • Manage and oversee execution of on-property visits from media, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining.
  • Oversee the organization and updating of the press database, digital library, and press clippings.
  • Refer media requests for information to the appropriate spokesperson or source.
  • Prepare or edit letters, invitations, press reports, and news releases using appropriate software.
  • Handle magazine photo shoots on the property with support from the Marcom team.
  • Support initiatives to strengthen the property's reputation and media presence.
  • Update the property website by making direct changes or coordinating with relevant personnel.
  • Support media relations efforts, including pitching ideas, facilitating interviews, and organizing media tours.
  • Respond to daily general media inquiries via email, phone, or written correspondence.
  • Coordinate on-property media visits, ensuring arrangements such as reservations, amenities, and dining are handled appropriately.
  • Update the digital library and press clippings as needed.
  • Attend daily line-ups promptly.
  • Monitor media coverage and external factors to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain and update the press database, including media contact lists and distribution details.
  • Assist with on-site media relations for local events, including grand openings, anniversaries, marketing events, and press functions.
