Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment within our power station. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, adherence to OEM guidelines, and the ability to carry out fault investigations efficiently and effectively. This position is based locally.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of mechanical equipment, including pumps, turbines, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and other rotating equipment.
• Conduct thorough fault investigations to identify the root cause of mechanical failures and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Adhere to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines and specifications while performing maintenance and repairs.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment, such as vibration analyzers, thermal imagers, and laser alignment tools, to assess equipment condition and identify potential issues.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex mechanical issues.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

• NOC
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in a power station environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
• Expertise in carrying out fault investigations and identifying root causes of mechanical failures.
• Solid knowledge of OEM guidelines and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with rotating equipment maintenance and repair.
• Power Station Knowledge: Familiarity with power station operations and equipment.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Safety: Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
