Job Description
International SOS is seeking a Medical Partner Relationship Manager to oversee the development, management, and maintenance of the network and its associated data within their designated territory. This role ensures the highest level of content and service quality, partnership, and cost containment for our clients and business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Close collaboration with the AC/RC senior leadership team, regional management, as well as business line and program managers to ensure the network in the region is fit for purpose across all business lines and programs.
- Lead the preparation and implementation of the Network Development Plan (which includes trip planning) for the region with clear strategic direction, objectives and targets in alignment with the Regional and Group priorities.
- Drive the development, governance and quality of the provider network in the region.
- Champion the maintenance of comprehensive data relating to the provider network ensuring compliance with all Group content management standards relating to SPIN.
- Own the Provider Payment Processing lifecyle within the DXB AC/RC, holding functional colleagues to account for their contribution to it.
- Oversee the performance of the Network Services Managers in the region with the support of the Regional Network Services Manager & the GM of MSAS, Middle East.
- Report on outcomes, take / oversee corrective actions and escalate where needed.
- Be the main point of contact for Network Services in the region.
- Lead the Network Services contribution to the ACS audit process.
- Ensure proactive communication and education takes place following each NetS trip and when onboarding any new providers.
Network Development, Governance and Quality
- Lead collaboration with medical, security and aviation experts in the region, to ensure the network in the assigned territory fully supports the needs of the clients and all program requirements are met.
- Ensure that the network in the assigned territory is right sized and adequate to fully support the business in accordance with Group Network Services Standards and Procedures, including regular network analysis and refinement.
- Review local rules and regulations related to provision of medical, security and logistic services in the region.
- Maintain country specific legal requirements as a baseline for credentialing of medical, security and logistic providers in the assigned territory and seek opportunities to simplify the process.
- Proactively plan and conduct provider and location assessments – onsite and remotely – to mitigate risk in the region, ensuring network trips are used to maximize commercial and relationship development opportunities.
- Work closely with local, regional and cross regional Medical Services teams, by collaborating and partnering in development and management of shared network.
- Ensure that the provider and location data base (SPIN) is kept up to date with data and credentialing quality compliant to Group Network Services Standards and Procedures, with the support of the Network Services Support Team (“NSS”). Implement quality initiatives to enhance the quality of data in SPIN.
- Optimise the cost of network development through the implementation of efficient processes.
- Demonstrate networking skill by identifying new providers and service offerings, ensuring early engagement with the relevant medical and security leads.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Maintain direct longstanding relationships with providers to ensure good collaboration and outcomes, with a focused agenda of building medical, operational and security partnerships with key providers.
- Develop commercial opportunities and outcomes with key strategic providers (e.g. private case referral)
- Negotiate terms and conditions incl. discounts with key, strategic providers and formalise these through the signing of a written agreement.
- Investigate quality related issues related to or coming from providers, engaging with all the relevant stakeholders to find short and long-term solutions.
- Monitor provider payment trends with Finance to ensure providers are paid in a timely manner and actively seek ways to improve processes to bring better outcomes.
- Negotiate rates & agreement prior of implementation with business partner/JV/Vendors and anticipate delivery capabilities and innovated sourcing to support business development.
Business Support
- Work with the MSAS Assistance Centres to ensure the appropriate network is in place and support any complex Operational Case Management.
- Lead and/or oversee Network programs (consulting programs, event support, site health reviews, bespoke clients network develop) in your region working closely with the sponsoring business line (MS, Consulting, H3S, Government Services) to ensure the program scope is delivered on time.
- Ensuring the scoping, pricing/costing, recharge process is completed & tracked appropriately.
- Support Sales & Marketing teams with new client proposals, supporting the development of new products and services and the generation of business revenue through service partnerships.
- Work with Network Services Program Management teams in the region.
- Support Learning, Development and Quality to continuously increase the quality of the network and the enablement of the staff on the Assistance Centre.
- Support the maintenance and development of the provider data system (SPIN) through User Acceptance testing.
Service Delivery
- Develop, interpret and implement operational capabilities in non-standard countries including procedures and best practices, guidelines in terms of supply chain, Ambulance services and any local constraints to deliver in full compliance International SOS services.
- Assist and guide the Regional commercial teams with major project and tender bid development with suitable pricing model from 3rd party vendors.
- Liaise and support the regional sales teams with correct costing on 3rd party medical staffing and proposals and maintain permanent costing intelligence.
Required Work Experience
- More than 5 years working experience within Healthcare Management.
- Demonstrable understanding & success in Business-to-Business environments.
- Middle East Regional experience in Network or Account Management is required.
- Strong track record in developing commercial opportunities and achieving positive outcomes with key strategic providers in the region.
- A strong personal network of medical provider & healthcare industry relationships & contacts within the Middle East region.
- Exposure to communication with providers / customers/ clients on different topics.
- Project Management.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a reputable university with strong academic achievements
- Qualification in Healthcare Management, Service Industry or Business Administration is desirable.
- Combination of education and experience within IntlSOS or similar industry is desirable.
- Medical qualifications are a distinct asset.
Required Languages
- Excellent written and spoken English required, & fluency in one or more of the principal regional languages in Middle East (Arabic, Turkish, Russian) would be highly regarded.
