Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven NASPO Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding our sales opportunities through the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) Value Point contract. This role requires a deep understanding of government procurement, NASPO contract management, and B2G (business-to-government) sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Sales & Procurement:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth through NASPO Value Point contracts.
- Identify and engage with state agencies, local governments, and eligible entities.
- Navigate government procurement processes, RFPs, and contract compliance.
Account Management & Business Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key government decision-makers.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities within the NASPO framework.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless contract execution.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with NASPO contract terms, pricing structures, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and CRM data related to NASPO sales activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in B2G sales, public sector sales, or government contracting.
- Experience selling through NASPO Value Point or similar cooperative purchasing contracts is a strong plus.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of government procurement, RFP processes, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales opportunities.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and sales analytics tools.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Sales, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing relationships with state procurement officials and agencies.
- Experience in selling IT, cloud solutions, or technology-related services through government contracts.
