Duties and Responsibilities
1. Have extensive knowledge in the international governing standards/codes

2. Ensures the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection systems meet standard requirements.
|
3. Ensures all NDT inspections follow customer demands while meeting high quality and integrity standards.
|
4. Maintain an awareness of technologies relevant to the business and their impact on the company.
|
5. Develop technical capability consistent with market trends and opportunities and in line with the company’s Business Plan

6. Support business development activities including customer visits, bids and the provision of demonstrations.

Manage non-destructive testing operation (NDT level 3).
|
18. Manage process improvement.
|
19. Manage productivity improvement to achieve business objectives.
|
20. Manage workplace challenges with resilience.
|
21. Supervise work improvement processes.
|
22. Supervise workplace safety and health practices.
|
23. Conducts training for NDT staff to keep their knowledge up-to-date including on-the-job training programme.
|
24. Organizing exams schedules and other activates.
|
25. Conducting exams for Level I and Level II Inspectors
|
26. Mentor and develop Trainee, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 technicians in line with business needs
|
27. Monitor staff surveillance with regard to re-certification
|
28. Monitor annual vision requirements with regard to certification.
|
29. Prepare and conduct technical training sessions and seminars
|
30. Support NDT operations in a timely manner so contractual obligations can be fulfilled.
|
31. Provide hands-on support to the operations teams as required including in times of high demand viewing.
|
32. Supervise the Inspection operations
|
33. Writing Inspection Procedure, NDT Procedures, WPS and PQR
|
34. Provide technical expertise for the approval of inspection procedures in the NDT methods
|
35. Interpret codes, standards, specifications and procedures.
|
36. Interpret the Customer specifications and prepare Instruction sheet for NDT Inspectors to carry out Inspection in complying their specification and referenced code.
|
37. Reviewing RT films/reports
|
38. Site visiting for NDT supervision.
|
39. Witnessing NDT activities at various stages of Jobs.
|
40. Reviewing NDT procedures of vendors & approving.
|
41. Reviewing Subcontractors Inspector CV, Certificates and conducting interview to assess their competency.
|
42. Reviewing NDT reports and signing off.
|
43. Prepare and review technical reports with analyses and interpretations
|
44. Monitoring/controlling of welding consumables
|
45. Conducting Risk assessment on various processes, equipment and substances.
|
Perform Internal Technical Audits
|
47. Support/attend external accreditation and customer audits as necessary
|
48. Coordinate with the clients to solve technical inquiries
|
49. Maintain the quality management system
|
50. Liaise with the EHS&Q function on all matters relating to quality.
|
51. Provide input through the EHS&Q function on all Quality Systems affecting NDT
|
52. Any other duties as assigned.

Cooperation and Contact
With all staff and employees in the consultancy and training division, with engineers and technicians from other divisions, with clients and customers.
Qualification
1- Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Engineering with a minimum of five years of experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid ASNT Level III Certification in selected non-destructive-testing methods.
2- Language Ability: (English)
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
