Job Description

Piping Construction Engineers are crucial to the successful implementation of piping projects in various industries, such as oil and gas, power generation, and manufacturing. Their primary role is to oversee the planning, design, and execution of piping systems, ensuring they meet technical specifications and regulatory standards. They collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery. Piping Construction Engineers also play a key role in troubleshooting design issues and implementing solutions to mitigate project risks. They bring innovative ideas and comprehensive knowledge of materials, standards, and best practices to ensure the highest quality outcomes, while also balancing costs and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed piping system designs and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers and architects to integrate piping designs with other systems.
• Oversee the installation process of piping systems to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design plans.
• Review and approve piping design drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Collaborate with vendors to secure appropriate materials and equipment for the project.
• Provide technical support to construction teams, addressing and resolving engineering challenges.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Evaluate piping system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and safety.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare status reports for stakeholders.
• Offer training and guidance to junior engineers and construction personnel.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in piping design and construction is essential.
• Strong understanding of piping materials, codes, and standards in industry practices.
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer) are advantageous but not required.
