Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead and oversee all operations at our pharmaceutical/nutraceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GMP-compliant production environments, with deep knowledge of industry standards, quality control systems, and regulatory compliance (such as FDA, cGMP, WHO, etc.). The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes while managing cost, output, and workforce performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, warehousing, and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety).
Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements and internal quality systems.
Lead and manage daily manufacturing activities to meet production goals and timelines.
Monitor KPIs and production metrics; implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Coordinate with R&D, QA/QC, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless production and material availability.
Maintain accurate documentation and batch records in compliance with GMP and audit requirements.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork across all departments.
Prepare and manage plant budgets, capital expenditure, and cost optimization initiatives.
Hire, train, and develop a high-performing operations team.
Act as site leader during audits (FDA, ISO, etc.) and inspections.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or nutraceutical manufacturing environment, with at least 3–5 years in a senior managerial role.
Deep understanding of cGMP, FDA, WHO, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
Proven track record in plant operations, process optimization, and quality systems management.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
