Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess 7-8 years of proven experience in procurement, specifically within the GCC region, and a strong working knowledge of SAP. The Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the procurement process, ensuring efficient sourcing, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Process Management:
  • Assist in the execution of procurement strategies and processes.
  • Manage purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in SAP.
  • Expedite orders and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival of goods and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supplier Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery reliability.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
  • SAP Management:
  • Proficiently utilize SAP MM (Materials Management) module for procurement activities.
  • Maintain accurate vendor master data in SAP.
  • Generate reports and analyze data from SAP to identify trends and improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot SAP related issues and escalate as needed.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Assist in managing inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing holding costs.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Other Duties:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 7-8 years of relevant experience in procurement, specifically within the GCC region.
  • Proven experience with SAP MM module is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and business practices in the GCC region.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
