Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, or Supplements. The ideal candidate should have expertise in supplier management, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance, including customs laws, DRAP (Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan) regulations, and import/export processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management:
✔ Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and quality sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
✔ Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to ensure optimal terms and pricing.
✔ Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to enhance supply chain efficiency.
2.Regulatory & Compliance Management:
✔ Ensure all procurement activities comply with local and international laws, including customs regulations, DRAP, GMP, and FDA requirements.
✔ Oversee import/export documentation and customs clearance processes to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
✔ Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure procured ingredients and materials meet health and safety standards.
3. Cost Control & Budget Management:
✔ Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve procurement efficiency.
✔ Analyze market trends and assess risks to maintain competitive purchasing strategies.
✔ Work closely with finance teams to manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize procurement costs.
4. Inventory & Demand Planning:
✔ Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement of stock.
✔ Prevent overstocking or shortages by maintaining optimal inventory levels.
✔ Implement supply chain risk mitigation strategies to handle disruptions.
5.Process Improvement & Technology Integration:
✔ Implement best practices in procurement, including automation and ERP systems for better efficiency.
✔ Develop and refine SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for procurement and vendor management.
✔ Conduct periodic supplier audits to ensure quality and reliability.
Required Skills & Competencies:
✅ Industry Expertise: Strong experience in procurement within FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Supplements industry.
✅ Negotiation & Supplier Management: Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
✅ Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs laws, DRAP, GMP, and import/export regulations.
✅ Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in procurement analytics, demand forecasting, and cost analysis.
✅ Software Skills: Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), procurement tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
✅ Problem-Solving & Crisis Management: Ability to handle supply chain disruptions and find effective solutions.
✅ Leadership & Team Collaboration: Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams.
