Job Title: Procurement Officer - Purchasing MEP
Location: Abu Dhabi
Salary: AED 5,000 - 7,000 per month

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with a focus on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) purchasing to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in procurement within the construction sector, specializing in MEP materials, equipment, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure MEP materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
• Assist in evaluating supplier quotations, ensuring competitive pricing, and ensuring delivery schedules are met.
• Prepare and process procurement documentation such as purchase orders, contracts, and RFQs (Request for Quotations).
• Coordinate with the project management team to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
• Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely and efficient supply chain operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure procurement compliance with company policies, industry standards, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including budgets, orders, and invoices.
• Assist in resolving procurement-related issues and improve procurement processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in MEP procurement within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, and systems.
• Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with UAE procurement laws and construction industry standards.
