About the Project:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Controls Manager to oversee the successful execution of a prestigious high-rise building project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a landmark development.
Job Summary:
The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of project controls for this 65-floor high-rise building project. This includes cost control, scheduling, risk management, change management, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction management principles, extensive experience with high-rise building projects, and proven leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project control strategies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain project baselines for cost, schedule, and scope.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline and identify variances.
- Analyze cost and schedule data to identify trends and potential problems.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address variances.
- Manage the change control process, ensuring all changes are properly documented and approved.
- Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Prepare and present project reports to management and stakeholders.
- Manage a team of project controls professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with project team members, including engineers, architects, and contractors.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project control processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Post-graduate studies and advanced professional certifications in Project Controls, Cost Management, or a related area are highly desirable.
- Minimum of +15 years of experience in project controls within the construction industry.
- Mandatory experience of working on at least two similar high-rise building projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience working in international environments is a plus.
General Requirements:
Staff Nationalities: Non-Arabs & Non-Africans is a must. preferably eastern European
Previous experience working with consultant
Professional in English is a must
Compensation and Benefits:
- Proposed Net Salary: 6,500 USD per month
