Job Description
- JOB PURPOSE:
To manage, formulate, and execute capital projects, ensuring project progress, resolving issues, minimizing risks, and improving project performance in collaboration with relevant external and internal stakeholders, to ensure meeting requirements and successful delivery of projects.
- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic Contribution
- Direct the implementation of the annual business plan and targets, and implement the strategic agenda of the Business Support department to deliver NADEC's vision and mission.
- Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for the Business Support department and monitor the performance and execution of those plans to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company’s strategy.
Leadership
- Direct the activities of the Business Support team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
- Build and lead a motivated, engaged and competent team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.
- Serve as a role model to ensure employees’ awareness and commitment to NADEC vision, mission, values, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated team, and continuously improve performance.
Budgeting
- Lead the preparation of the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Core Accountabilities
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the approved Budget and time frame schedule by Initiating, planning, execution and closure of projects as per customers requirement by translating these requirements into a project plan for assigned projects.
- Manage and coordinate with both consultant and contractor to execute the project according to agreed materials quality as documented in BOQ.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation, with ensuring approved actions are documented and kept for further reference when required.
- Ensure projects progress against plan and ensure risk, challenges and issues are identified, escalated and resolved to ensure smooth and successful delivery of projects.
- Attend with stakeholders’ tenders opening, then make the study to evaluate and compare the received biddings and provide professional recommendation to management
- Conduct visit report on a regular basis of the assigned projects and monitor the execution phase and submit progress reports to the line manager when required.
- Manage contractors and monitor delivery of service to ensure compliance with contracts and service agreement
- Adhere to the Capital Projects framework process and procedures as well as acting and reporting of any breaches of rules, policies, and guidelines.

- Adhere with direction for the development and implementation of organizational unit’s policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Comply with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to all relevant regulatory directives to ensure a safe and risk-free environment.
Change Management
- Motivate the employees and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering best practices.
- Ensure that all departmental reports and statements are completed timely and comply with local and international principles of governance and the organization's policies and standards.
- JOB CONTEXT
Project Manager will work in the assigned areas and might have to travel as and when needed.
- QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in /Civil Engineering
- Preferably project management certificates ( PMP , RMP , etc.)
Experience:
- 5-7 years’ relevant experience in construction projects management and execution
Skills:
- Strong problem detection and solving abilities
- Multi-tasking ability
- Advance Stakeholders and Project Management skills
- English and Arabic language (Written & Spoken)
- Ability to read and translate diagrams and shop drawings.
- Competencies
Technical
- Has a background in project planning & scheduling.
- Has a background in the Project Management Tools ( MS. Project, Primavera, Monday, etc.)
- Has a background in scope management, time management, cost management, and quality.
