Job Summary

The QC Inspector is responsible for monitoring and verifying that construction activities and materials meet project quality standards and specifications. Duties include conducting inspections and tests, preparing quality reports, reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and codes, identifying non-conformities, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. The role requires familiarity with relevant ISO quality standards, documentation procedures, and effective communication with construction, engineering, and project teams ensuring compliance, minimizing rework, and supporting the overall quality assurance program of the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in quality control within construction or oil and gas project
• Should have ISO 9001 or 14001 certification or ability to obtain
• Strong understanding of quality assurance/quality control processes and inspection procedures
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and standards
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
• Effective communication and coordination abilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and tests on materials, workmanship, and site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor construction processes and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) when deviations from approved standards are identified.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to address quality-related issues and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Review and verify material certificates, test results, and quality documentation for compliance.
• Maintain and update inspection records, quality logs, and reports in accordance with project QA/QC procedures.
• Participate in site audits and quality walkthroughs as part of the overall quality assurance program.
• Ensure quality control activities are carried out safely and in line with HSE requirements.
