The Safety & Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property within the hotel. This role supervises the daily activities of the security team, enforces security policies, conducts inspections, manages incident response, and supports a culture of safety throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities1. Safety & Security Operations

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the security staff to ensure all safety procedures and policies are effectively followed.
• Patrol hotel property to monitor and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security violations.
• Respond quickly to emergencies such as accidents, medical incidents, fire alarms, or breaches of security.
• Investigate security incidents and prepare accurate, timely reports for management.
• Ensure all fire, life, and safety equipment are properly maintained and tested regularly.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel premises to deter potential threats.

2. Team Leadership & Training

• Train and mentor security officers on hotel security policies, emergency response procedures, and guest service standards.
• Organize daily briefings and assign duties to security personnel.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching or corrective action when necessary.
• Ensure all team members are properly certified (e.g., first aid, CPR, fire safety training).

3. Guest and Staff Relations

• Assist guests and employees with security-related matters while maintaining a professional and courteous approach.
• Handle sensitive situations with discretion and respect for guest privacy.
• Conduct security awareness programs for hotel staff to foster a safe working environment.

4. Compliance and Risk Management

• Conduct routine inspections of all areas including guest floors, back-of-house areas, parking lots, and perimeter gates.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, hotel policies, and industry best practices.
• Participate in hotel emergency response drills and health and safety committee meetings.

Qualifications

• Education:
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in security, preferably in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• First Aid and CPR Certification
• Fire Safety Officer Training
• Security Officer License (if required by local regulations.

Working Conditions

• Requires working shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
